Welcome to The Photo Finishers Home Movie Film Video Transfer Center-where all our work is done in house.
Waco Hill, our owner, has been working with movie film transfer since the late 80’s, opening The Photo Finishers in 1996. That’s closing in on 40 years of experience. If he is not doing the transfer himself, he is supervising the process, so you can be confident that your order will be handled with utmost care and expertise.

We offer a wide variety of Video service to meet most any need and desire. Video, like photography is a very personal service, and we want to take the time to get to know and understand exactly how you want your project to be completed and delivered.
We scan your movie film frame by frame and then put it back together in sequence to deliver your personal movies in formats that you can conveniently watch.
Home projectors are increasingly rare, and those that have survived in the basements, attics and closets likely need significant repair if they are even operational.
Your home movies can be returned to you on your choice of media: DVD (still the most popular), MP4 files delivered on a USB drive, or Blu-ray HD disks.
Here are the most common formats we transfer. If you are not sure what you have, please feel free to call or stop by, we can identify your film and give you a custom quote for film conversion and transfer.
Film format Transfers:
8mm film – Silent, no sound
Super 8mm Film– May be silent film or have magnetic sound strip
16mm Film-may be silent or have magnetic or optical sound strip
35mm Film– May be silent or have sound (Extremely rare as a consumer format)
A cause for concern…
Over the last 12 months we have noticed issues not present before in the majority of movie films we are transferring. There appears to be a significant uptick in mildew issues, and also in the “cupping or curling” of the film. The fact that we are finding this more and more is cause for concern.
We make every effort to transfer and deliver the highest quality for an affordable price, but this issues are not easily resolved if they can be mitigated at all.
We are recommending if you have any of these Home Movie films, that you have them transferred in the near future to a digital format. It’s possible that may become cost prohibitive to do so in the future if the film deterioration continues to become more prevalent.
